Solvay Indupa in Mercosur adopts an Integrated Management System (Quality, Safety, Health and Environment) to drive their processes based on international standards.
QHSE System Management Commitment
The Management confirms its strong collective commitment to the effective development of the integrated management system by a Commitment Letter. The approach Responsible Care® of the Solvay Group has been adopted by Solvay Indupa sites and is widely announced to the personnel across the company.
As a result of a joint initiative, the Site management has signed agreements and has assumed commitments as an efficient and responsible company, carrying out its activities under safe work conditions, concerned about the constant improvement and preservation of the environment through thoughtful consumption of natural resources, decreasing atmospheric emissions and wastes which pollute water and soil.
To ensure these processes, Solvay Indupa holds the following certificates:
- ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management
- ISO 14001:2004 for Environment
Solvay Indupa was awarded an ISO 9001 Certificate in 1995, and in 2002 the company migrated to the 2000 new version.
This certificate attests that a quality management system is in place, the scope of which comprises production, administration and commercial areas, which pursues to effectively identify and manage the various integrated processes at the Company in order to increase customer satisfaction by ongoing improvement of the system and assured compliance with customers’ requirements.
Solvay Indupa is among the first companies to achieve ISO 14001 Certificate and the first to be awarded such certificate in a preserved water source area in 1998. In 2005 the Company migrated to the 2004 new version of this certification.
This certificate attests that an environment management system is in place on both sites, which comprises a number of procedures and systems aimed to assure compliance with relevant laws currently in force, identify the aspects of activities, products and services and control the underlying impacts on the environment.
It also ensures operating control over its processes with a view to preserving environment and to pursuing ongoing improvement of the Company’s performance in environment actions, in line with its environment policy and objectives.
