Use

PVC with low or medium molecular weight provides appropriate mechanical properties and  is ideal for the manufacture of hollow recipients for cosmetic or pharmaceutical product packaging, due to  its durability and how easily they can be handled in a broad range of shapes.

Advantages

PVC is also valued because it is atoxic (all additives used in the industrial process comply with international regulations). Good chemical resistance and low tendency to form “fish eyes” are also essential in food packaging.

Manufacturing Process

Pharmaceutical and cosmetic bottles and flasks are manufactured by blow-extrusion  or injection.
