Use

Plasticized PVC is widely employed in the manufacture of caulks used in caps of metallic and glass packages to insulate the products from external environment.

Advantages

PVC has organoleptic properties indispensable for this type of product, and  high chemical  resistance.

Many packages, like food and medicine, have safety caps in which thermoshrink PVC films assure products to remain sealed.

Manufacturing process

Sealants and caulks are plastisols that are usually applied by spray-up  process.
