Use

Potable water supply and sewer piping frequently use PVC. Rigid PVC is an already established product in piping manufacture.

Advantages

PVC is more than adequate for potable water systems, due to its excellent mechanical properties and high impermeability. Other features include chemical resistance, easy installation, good durability and great adaptability to sanitary applications. Plus the excellent cost-benefit ratio.

Manufacturing process

PVC pipes are manufactured by extrusion  or co-extrusion processes, compact or expanded.
