ADVANTAGES                                                                                                                                                                              

PVC is one of the most important materials for society, due to its properties and because it presents a series of advantages:

                 

Versatility: PVC products can be found at home, at the office, in our cars and in a hundred different applications. It can be either rigid or flexible and it can be found in all degrees of hardness: translucent and crystalline or opaque, glossy or mat; it is resistant to bad weather and can be thick or thin, compact or foamed, and it comes in all colors, including metallic and emblazoned. PVC may be manufactured to final products by all technologies known today used in plastic industrialization. Its mechanical, physical and chemical intrinsic properties may be improved depending on different needs, by the use of different types of additives.

 

Stability: PVC is stable and inert. It is resistant to acids, bases and the great majority of solvents. Its behavior in relation to liquids, gases and vapors make it specially appropriate for uses in which there is direct contact with food, drugs and with the human body, during medical practices.

 

 

Longevity: PVC is an exceptionally resistant material. PVC products may last dozens of years  in applications such as coatings, cables, pipes for water and sewer systems, windows, etc.

 

Safety: due to its chlorine component , PVC doesn’t burn easily, neither is auto-flammable. For this reason, it is extensively employed to insulate and protect electrical cables and other  inputs in construction, automotive, household appliances industries, using goods, etc.

 

 

 

 

Good use of resources: PVC is made from natural raw materials: common salt and oil or gas. Salt is an abundant resource, and the manufacturing process of PVC employs gas or oil in an extremely efficient manner, helping conserve non-renewable fossil reserves.

 

Energy recovery: PVC has a high energetic value. In modern systems of energetic residue valuation, in which emissions are highly controlled, PVC may provide energy and heat for industries, homes and other places.
