EXTRUSION

In the extrusion process, PVC is fed, either in pellets or as dry blend to a heated barrel inside which there is one or more screws that compact the PVC, melt and homogenize it, feeding it to a die that gives shape to the product (finished or semi-finished). In most cases, pellets are used in single-screw extruders and dry blend is used in double-screw extruders. The die is designed to give the desired shape to the final product.
